Who are we
h.f.ullmann was established in the year 2006, acquired from the internationally acclaimed Konemann Verlagsgesellschaft which filed for bankruptcy in 2003.
h.f.ullmann develops lavishly illustrated books, which are published in up to 15 languages and distributed in more than 60 countries. Our headquarters are in Potsdam, the capital city of the German federal state of Brandenburg. We also have offices in Madrid and Paris, and distribute all over the world.
Our titles include subjects such as enjoyment, nature, the environment, eating and drinking, lifestyle, architecture, art, and photography.
h.f.ullmann offers its readers a fascinating world of images, great content, and excellent production quality at affordable prices.
Our environment
We care for our environment and try to be greener and cleaner. We only use paper that is from certified sustainable forests. For every tree that is cut down, at least one is replanted. Our award-winning book Climate Change was published in 2010.
Our printers have not only to comply with the laws protecting the environment, but also to promote the principles of 3 Rs (reduce, reuse and recycle). These include e.g. reducing wastage by choosing effective sizes for printing materials such as books to maximise paper print.
We care about nature, in particular the Orangutans that are considered an endangered species. Our award-winning book Thinkers of the Jungle was published in 2008.
Social Responsibility
Our printers have to be awarded with internationally regarded certifications and are audited by independent councils throughout the year. Those certifications e.g. uphold the principles that no underage, forced, or prison labour should be employed ot that no one is denied a job because of gender, ethnic origin, religion, affiliation or association.
Quality Assurance
We pride ourselves in producing books of the highest quality. We conduct a preventive and continuous quality control at various stages of the production. All our books have to conform with a stringent quality standard before they leave the factory.
